About the Global Awareness Program
Courses
No matter what your major, taking courses with a global dimension can enrich your educational experience. Your options are numerous and diverse. We encourage you to browse the list of international courses below and work them into your program of study.
Completing the academic component of GAP requires that you take three international content courses and two semesters of a foreign language. Listed below are currently available international content courses. To be eligible for GAP credit, courses must have a significant, modern international focus. Also remember that successful completion of the academic component of GAP requires that your international courses be from three different departments (students in professional schools may take two courses in the same department).
While this course list is updated each semester, it may not be exhaustive. To send an update for this list, email the GAP Coordinator at gap@ku.edu. If you have taken a course that you think should be counted, contact the GAP Coordinator or file a petition.
GAP-approved courses are organized by school and department. Click on a school below to reveal the GAP-approved courses available.
