Global Partners Events Fall 2007

Each of these events are sponsored by Global Partners, and is open to the students involved in the program. Events noted with an asterisk are open to the public. If you have any questions about a specific event, please contact the program coordinator at globalpartners@ku.edu! As a reminder, if you are a Global Partner you are asked to attend three of these events!

Sept. 28, 2007- Royals v. Indians game with fireworks after the game
5:30 p.m. departure from the Student Rec. Center Parking Lot.
This event costs $10 per person, and students must register by Sept. 21.

* Oct. 4, 2007 (7:30 p.m.) - GP Coffee Hour @ Aimee’s Coffee House (1025 Mass. St.) Sit and chat about anything you like with other students in GP

* Oct. 17, 2007 (12-1 p.m.) – Study Abroad Workshop in the International Room in the Union. Put on by the staff at OSA

* Oct. 18, 2007 (12-1 p.m.) – GP International Scholar Brownbag Lecture in the Kansas Union Regionalist Room (5 th Floor). Bring your lunch and be ready for a great discussion! More info. to come!

* Oct. 18, 2007 (7:30 p.m.) - GP Coffee Hour @ Aimee’s Coffee House (1025 Mass. St.)

Oct. 20, 2007 (6:30 p.m.)- Haunted House Trip, Details to come!
There will be a small cost for this event.

Oct. 27, 2007 (7:00 p.m.)- GP Halloween Party @ Pendleton’s Farm.
Wear your costume, and be ready for hayrides, pumpkin carving, and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows by the bonfire!

November 16, 2007 (7:00 p.m.) – Thanksgiving Potluck @ First Christian Church (1000 Kentucky) International Programs will provide the turkeys.

American Students- Please bring the traditional fixin’s

International Students- Please bring a holiday dish from your culture.
